I just love your command of lighting. The movement in this shot is great, but the sculpting of her form that you created with lighting is just masterful.

No. Only for painters, or artist sketching.

What you are asking requires taking my existing image and enhancing or manipulating that existing image rather than using the image as reference for the art you are creating.

actually my idea of manipulating would be the same thing. i can paint well enough to copy an exact likeness and match all the color and tone. thats boring and takes time. i want to freshen her up and glam her out to excess (make her look like a 14 year old dying of malnutrition) so the final would be a drastic change.

but i understand fully that not all models would be okay with this and that i also understand that manipulation is most likely not what you intended to allow. so thats okay. i wont use it.

but understand that when used properly, photoshop on an actual image is just like any other tool. the only difference from a paint brush is that its faster and takes less skill.
